WIN TITLE AND GRAND PRIZE $500 CASH FOR SEMI PRO DIVISION

Get ready to ignite the dance floor, and showcase your passion for Salsa and Bachata at the Baila Conmigo Latin Dance Festival! Whether you are a seasoned performer or a newcomer to the Latin dance scene, this competition offers a unique chance to challenge and immerse yourself in the captivating world of Latin dance.

All competitors will have a chance to win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals. Semi-Pro competitors will also have a chance to win a $500 cash prize! The cost to enter the competition is $25 per person per dance or $100 per team per dance. How to submit payment can be found on the Contestant Application below. In order to enter the competition, all competitor applications must be submitted by 9 p.m. on March 31, 2024.

Competition Requirements:

Amateur Competitors

This division consists of all amateur dancers
Must have a minimum of 6 months of dance experience
Has never been financially compensated for Latin dance, performances, teaching, and/or assistant teaching
Never judged a Latin dance competition

Semi-Pro Competitors

This division consists entirely of Semi-Pro dancers
Participants have had financial compensation for Latin dance either via performance, teaching, or as an assistant instructor but on a part-time basis, and whose primary source of income is from another profession
Never judged a Latin dance competition

All Competitors

Must be 18+ years of age
No props are allowed
Acrobatic tricks should not take up more than 10% of the routine
Dips & tricks are permitted

Music Requirements

Amateur and Semi-Pro couples Time: 1:00 minute - 1m:30s
Amateur Groups (min. 2 couples) Time: 1m:30s - 2:00 minutes

Please include the following information in your email:

1. First and last names of all participants in your group
2.Title of song and name of Artist
3.Which division you will be competing in (eg. Amateur Group bachata, Sem-Pro couple Salsa etc.)

Judges

Judging Criteria:

All judges are professional dancers, choreographers, and instructors who are internationally recognized. They will be judging each performance based on the following criteria:

TECHNIQUE (60%): Timing, Musicality, Connection, Lines, Body Movement, Cleanliness, and Execution
CREATIVITY (20%): Complexity of Choreography
PERFORMANCE (20%): Facial expression, Energy, and Costumes
