Intro to Salsa
Dance experience and partner not required!
Intro to Salsa is a fun course for anyone who has little or no
experience in the dance. The main focus at this level is to learn
the basics steps, posture and points of connection to a partner
while tuning your ears to the rhythm and timing of the music.

S2S Salsa Level 2
Prerequisite: Introduction to Salsa
Salsa level 2 builds on the fundamental skills (posture and steps)
taught at the previous stage and introduces exchanges and traveling
turns (both left and right) on a linear line.
• Traveling turns (inward and outward)
S2S Salsa Level 3
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa Level 2
At Salsa level 3, emphasis is placed on both the lead and follow
becoming more aware of their structure, line and body position.
Since traveling turns become doubles and triples, and transitions are
done at a faster pace, the roles of both lead and follow become
more important for proper execution.

S2S Salsa Level 4
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa Level 3
The primary focus at this level is to learn the steps and technique
of performing double spot turns, while practicing variations
of patterns taught at the previous level.

S2S Salsa Level 5
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa Level 4
At Salsa level 5 emphasis is placed on learning techniques for
transitioning from one direction to another through longer and
more complex combinations. This is the stage when the basics
of dancing On2 are introduced.

S2S Salsa On2, Level 6
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa Level 5
Transitioning from On1 to On2 timing.
The emphasis of this level is on fluidity of movement through
technique, partnering and timing. Musical interpretation and styling
On2 are introduced while linking patterns. Techniques for more
advanced leading and following are showcased throughout the
level. Stylistic moves such as traveling turns, checks and hand tosses
are integrated into the mix as the dancers progress into their next

S2S Salsa On2, Level 7
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa On2, Level 6
The goals of Salsa On2, Level 7 are to sharpen techniques, movements
and timing of dancing On2, while reviewing and building on turning
patterns from the previous level.
S2S Salsa On2, Level 8
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa On2, Level 7
This level is about developing a higher level of musicality, styling, speed
and precision in movement On2. Muscle memory and stamina will be
challenged with long sequences and fast exchange of partners while
learning how to control the speed and style of turns, stops and accents,
changes in direction and momentum. Be ready to sweat!
Prerequisite: S2S Salsa Level 2
At this level the dancers work closely with the instructors to sharpen
dance skills and learn complex movements of various types of dance
such as salsa, bachata, cha cha, casino, pachanga, west coast swing
and many other dances to entertain an audience. The dancers
practice routines for events such as galas, congresses, competitions,
shows, charity events, weddings and other functions. Dancers in this
class must complete the first two levels of Soul2Sole’s dance program
(Intro to salsa and Salsa Level 2).
