Starting at a very young age, Maia waited just 4 years before she started dancing. She began performing in front of a wide audience (of 3) till her parents realized that if they didn’t sign her up for classes, she’d run away by the age of 7. After dodging her life as a runaway, she went on to study and perform various styles of dance from tap, ballet, jazz and hip-hop. It was in 2004 that Maia fell in love with Salsa and Ballroom and has been dancing with multiple partners ever since. Her love of motivating others and being the center of attention led her to begin her career as a dance teacher in 2009. Since then, she has been giving her heart and soul to teaching and showing every person there’s a hidden dancer in each of them. Maia joined Soul2Soul in 2013 and sums up her experiences as: Adorable at times yet still sexy with a great sense of humour. She also specializes in wedding dances, special events, MC’ing, eating and losing things.
Michel’s love for dance started at the age of 13 when she attended a performing arts high school where she studied Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance. She took her first salsa class in 2008, and has been dancing salsa and other partner dances — bachata, chacha, kizomba, zouk, hustle, and west coast swing– non-stop ever since. She’s performed and taught workshops with professional salsa teams in Salsa Congresses in Canada, USA, Bermuda, Israel, Peru, and China. When she is not in the office crunching numbers, or dancing in the studio, she’s most likely planning her next epic travel adventure!
She joined the Soul2Sole fam in 2016, and she is excited to share her love for salsa with her students.
